Naruto gets up once more, and Sasuke beats him up and uses the fire ball technique on him. He looks back again on the past. Since the day Itachi became arrogant, he and his father no longer spoke to each other. Sasuke’s father then shows him the fireball technique, which he practices and masters after a few days. His father acknowledges his accomplishment and it made Sasuke very happy. He then asked about his brother’s sharingan, which looked different that day. His father tells him that it’s Mangekyou sharingan, a special kind which is hard to call forth. He also tells him that his brother is different from most people, and not even he can understand him.

Naruto jumps out of the flames to attack Sasuke. He manages to his punch his face and then again and again. Sasuke considered him weak and hits him several times before kicking him to the ground on the bottom of the cliff. Naruto stayed still for a while. Sasuke remembers in his childhood that he was always behind his big brother. Itachi was a very talented ninja, and he became a chuunin only 1 year after graduating from the Academy. Sasuke tried his best to excel and follow in his brother’s footsteps. His brother was also newly accepted by the Anbu at that time. But one day, the police force came to their house to investigate the murder of another police officer. Itachi became arrogant and beat up the members of the police.

Kimimaru then takes out from his spine a long chain of bones. He tries to strike and bind Gaara with it but the sands form a barrier around him. Gaara then summons a strong shield made of sand. Kimimaru turns his left hand into a giant bone drill. He then uses a technique he calls the dance of the iron flower and strikes the sand shield, but the bone drill breaks apart. Gaara takes down the sand shield and barrier around him and summons a huge wave of sand to cover Kimimaru. Kimamaru then retaliates by releasing giant spikes of bone all over the field. Gaara jumps up high with Lee supported by the sands. Kimamaru then jumps up and shouts with his last breath that Orochimaru understands him. He never lands his attack. Naruto finally catches up with Sasuke on top of twin waterfalls. Sasuke, however, refuses to go back to the village as he has chosen power over the friends. Naruto then tries to beat some sense into him but was overpowered with only Sasuke’s left hand. He punches Naruto on the chest who falls down on the water below. But Naruto gets up again, and runs to attack Sasuke again. Sasuke meets him in midair and kicks him back into the water. When Naruto tries to attack again, Sasuke uses wires to bind him to a rock and uses his fire dragon technique to blow a fireball at him.
