Naruto didn’t want to be trained by Ebisu so he challenged to him to run away and try to lose him. The exercise showed that Naruto was poor at both using chakra and controlling it. So, Ebisu takes Naruto to the Hot Springs to train. He demonstrates chakra control by walking on very hot water. Naruto also tries to do it but falls into the water. He tries again and again. When Naruto was starting to get the hang of it, he suddenly sees a man peeking into the walls of the public bath. Ebisu charges at the man, but ends up being slammed to the ground by a giant toad summoned by the man.

Chouji turns into a big rolling ball and attacks Kinuta (the leader of the sound team). But he charges into a wall and gets stuck. Kinuta then sticks his arm into Chouji’s bloated body and hits his arm sonic tube with a finger. Chouji is knocked out. Snakemaru orders Dou to kidnap Sasuke, which is protected by Kakashi. They fought but Dou was able to escape out of the window. The passers of the preliminary test are given one month to prepare for the 3rd exam, where they will be having a tournament. Naruto visits Sasuke in the hospital and meets Kakashi. Kakashi tells him that his trainor is none other than Konohamaru’s bodyguard, Ebisu.

Lee open’s the first 3 gates and the release of chakra blows Gaara into the air. Lee then opens the 4th gate and he was able to move back in the forth in mid-air hitting Gaara’s body to and from everywhere. He then ties him by the waist, pulls him up, the opens the fifth gate and uses the Primary Lotus attack to finish Gaara. The gourd on the back of Gaara, however, also turns to sand and cushion his fall on the ground. Lee, on the other hand, was too strained to move. Gaara then slowly tries to execute Lee by using his sand coffin technique. On his first try, he was able to squash Lee’s left arm and leg. He then tries to do it again. But Lee’s master gets in the way and blocks it. The last and final match is then started.
